You know what agents talk about in this current market? One of the topics is that we are excited that all of the part time agents are leaving the market. The agents that do not take this job as a serious profession are leaving.⠀
Why is this good for you as a consumer? I think some consumers don’t realize the value of an agent. Imagine your house as a stack of cash. Someone is going to negotiate more or less cash for you. Do you pick the person with the most experience? The best marketing? The best track record? The best outreach to other agents?⠀
Well during the last few years we saw some consumers hiring agents that were the cheapest with none of these traits. Further, they were doing one of the biggest sins in real estate; taking no pride in their job, or pride for their clients and using cell phones to take photos of the listings.⠀
Want to know what goes into a normal shoot for your average home? Our team comes in like a hurricane. We move objects around. We look to stage every photo and look through the lens of the photographer to make sure we are getting it ‘just right’. We then photoshop out anything we can’t move; cords, etc. We put down toilet seats, don’t even get me started on agents that don’t put down the toilet seats.⠀
In the end what does this do for the consumer? It gets you more cash. So moral of the story; hire a professional. Hire someone with a marketing plan for your home that takes pride in their job and elevates your home to the best of their ability.⠀
New agents, us old agents are watching and trust me, you want to present yourself and your listing in the best light. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. You get what you pay for in photos and in an agent.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
