These real estate agents say Serhant's model fits the moment in California

Residential real estate brokerage Serhant is betting big on California at a time of transformation for the nation's most populous state. Last week, the New York City-based firm launched across five markets throughout California, onboarding roughly 100 new agents. Its new teams are based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County, San Diego and Lake Tahoe. Serhant is not painting with a broad brush when entering the state, with each region calling for a tailored approach grounded in an understanding of what drives those markets. That approach hinges on the brokerage's 16 founding members in the state, founder Ryan Serhant told Homes.com News in an interview. "Our founders are aligned with our mission to help the world move forward," Serhant said. "A lot of them I've known over the years through deals, referral partnerships, friendships — some of them are close friends." To hear those agents tell it, Serhant is coming to California at a time when their markets are in need of something new to meet today's challenges.
