When I was 15, I moved to Balboa Island and it holds a special place in my heart. Growing up here, I was able to experience the beauty of this unique place. From the original cottage homes to the bustling shops, there’s something special about the Island that really stands out in my mind.
I was married at St. John Vianney Chapel and my first son Connor was also baptized at Saint John Vianney. It’s a beautiful chapel and it’s a great place to visit if you’re in the area.
It’s no wonder why visitors think of the Island when they think of summer vacations in Newport. The homes range in pricing from the high $2 millions for an original cottage to a recent sale that just closed over $21.9 million that set the new record. The shops are charming all along Marine Avenue and it sure to be busy this upcoming weekend for the Fourth of July.
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to grow up in such a special place. I love Balboa Island and all of the wonderful memories I’ve made here.
